Information for visitors to the Ford (Fuelling) and Adams gardens |
|
Both gardens were designed and constructed by Gordon Ford. His own garden, Fulling began in the early 1950's when an old quince orchard was cleared. The neighbouring Adams garden was established in 1980 on a quarter acre block originally part of Fuelling. The gardens compliment each other in the way they reveal how a natural style garden is appropriate on any sized block. Fuelling has a large water feature which includes two main ponds, a watercourse and waterfall. The Adams garden has a pond and a natural style swimming pool. Excellent examples of Gordon Ford's use of boulder steps and outcropping can be seen in both gardens. Some
