Boulder steps lead to a section of the garden where basalt adjoins the water line to create a natural-looking rock pool and waterfall. Behind the rocks at the northern end, last year's plantings of Kunzea ericoides and Grevillea shiressii are taking shape.

His work on the non-definition of boundaries is obvious here, where the glade effects are an example of how a third of an acre can offer privacy within the existing environment.
